    Busy Roads on the French Riviera

    This coming weekend, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August are again forecast to be among the busiest of the year. For those heading to their luxuryproperty rentals on the French Riviera then an early start is recommended. By 11am long tailbacks are forecast and with temperatures already in the 90′s a traffic jam is probably the last place you’ll want to be.

    Suzanne McElhinney of L&F the Ellisium luxury property rentals partner confirms ‘We advise all our clients coming to our luxury villas on the French Riviera to leave early if they are driving to the region. For those coming through Nice Cote d’Azurairport then expect it to be somewhat busier than usual. We are all very busy with our luxury villa rentals, particularly on the Cap d’Antibes and in the Mougins areas and we are looking forward to welcoming our clients this weekend’

    Top Marques – Day one

    Good evening all,

    Top Marques opened its doors to the public at 9.30 this morning and by 13.30, there had been over 10,000 visitors including a large number of celebrity and VIP guests.

    Our stand did eventually show up…… in Dublin….. and because of the current volcanic smoke issues there is no chance of it reaching us before Sunday, but did we let this defeat us? Of course not! We had to call in a lot of last minute favours (A big thank you to Tangram in Cannes for all of their help with creating amazing graphics at such short notice)

    Our stand is located on the entrance level of the Top Marques show alongside many other luxury brands and we had a huge amount of visitors today from all over the world, all interested to find out about this new concept. The Luxury Home Alliance is certainly proving popular.  We had interest all day from clients and other exhibitors keen to find out more about Ellisium partners. Today was also press day and we were visited by a wide range of media including magazines, radio and television channels. Ellisium director, Maria McLean was interviewed live on a few occasions which added to the excitement of the day.

    Who are L and F? (www.riviera-luxury-villas.com)

    L & F was started in 2007 by Alexandra Merz.  Alexandra is German with a professional background in the Financial world.  Married to a Frenchman, she has had a strong affinity with the French Riviera for many years and in fact  she had rented her personal villa in Mougins through other rental agencies for summer guests several times before deciding to set up her own luxury property rental agency on the French Riviera.

    Having sold her companies in Germany and the UK in 2006, Alexandra couldn’t face the challenge to solely concentrate on the education of her five children and so she opened the real estate agency L & F, standing for Luxury & Family Properties.  Her professional background in Finance helped her to ensure the business became rapidly profitable . Today they are a team of 5, with Suzanne McElhinney joining the company as Rentals Manager.

    The original business idea in 2007 was to provide premium service when renting luxury villas in and around Mougins, mainly for summer vacation clients, with some Congress rentals during Spring. As of 2008 they started doing sales in the same area, with rental owners becoming sellers and rental clients becoming buyers. Through their service orientated approach, the clients are very motivated to continue to work with us.  Suzanne will expand the areas in which we provide services to include also coastal locations.

    This video is really charming and gives you an excellent flavour of the Riviera back in the 1930`s. One of the most interesting things is to see how little the Riviera and Monaco have changed in all of these years.

    Of course, there are more properties on the French Riviera now compared to 80 years ago but the coastline remains as beautiful today as it ever was and really needs to be seen to appreciate.

    This video travels up the coast from St. Tropez and includes towns such as Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat and Monaco
